I have bearing buddies on my old boat- several thousand miles with no problems. I opted for oil bath on my new boat and I think I am going to like them in a big way- time will tell.

The plate was free- it came from the boat fabricator (Fire and Marine inc.) with the boat. I did see a fellow on ebay I believe that did them. I would try ebay and do a "boat capacity plate" search.
