I'm yet to fish a bash, but have fished Gaston quite a few time it is a great lake to fish and there are some slabs in there. Must be before end on April to get on good fish.

I will have to mount that fish. Thats a fish of a lifetime. I do not make it a practice to take 2lb plus fish out of any lake. I think monster slabs reproduce monster slabs.

The fish in my right hand is just to show how big the other fish really is. The fish in my right hand is about a 1lb. Caught this fish in Bobcat's tournament Saturday.

I took that picture with the other crappie to put it into perspective. The fish in my right hand is a 1lb. fish. I guess I caught the big fish one week to early for the bash.
