I know that the bowfishing guys shoot alot of them but I dont want to have to put a buncha lights on my boat and go at night to catch um lol

I know this is a crappie forum, but I've seen some guys on tv catch buffalo fish using gill nets and heard that guntersville has some. I thought it would be fun to try to.catch some on rod and reel....

They only caught 2 crappie and no bream, but she had a blast and thats what matters. Thank yall again for the advice!!

I just put flour, seasoning and added beer and whisked it until all the lumps came out and it was the consistancy of pancake batter. I coated the filets in just flour first then submerged them in...

P.S. I beer battered and deep fried the crappie earlier for dinner. Everyone loved it and my sister in law said it was the best fish she has ever ate!! :) I usually dip in egg then flour/corn meal...
