Got my boat back from Cabelas, Mechanic did do diagnostics on motor but informed me that motor was too old to have hour meter on it.

FYI , Called Cabelas today about my question.They informed me they can access the computer on this engine via a laptop and check the hours on this engine. 1/2 hour shop rate to hook up laptop.

I was told at one time there is a hour meter in the computer on these engines,but it takes a yamaha dealer to plug it into a computer to access the info. Does anyone know if this true?:

Throw it in the freezer for a day or so. I have been told this freeze dries the moisture out.I have never done this but was told to try it if it ever happens

Hey, Ohio you may want to chekout the BnM trolling rods they might be the rod for that. If you buy the rod from cabelas you can send in a copy of the receipt for a bnm reel for $5.00.
