I was down Tuesday week ago and did alright drifting in deeper water. I did catch a few small fish shallow but all my bigger fish were deep as in over 60 feet. I was using small to large white perch.

I just wanted to give a heads up to those who fish Lake Whelchel in Gaffney that they will now be charging a boating fee. For county residents it $25 so I will no longer be fishing there.
