color is a hand mix of testors enamel and epoxy. I first put a base coat of white enamel and then I use the paint sparingly in the epoxy mix. Should be slightly transparent.

Depends how you fish them. Weighted fishing very slow across the bottom could imitate a number of different nymphs. Faster retrieves could imitate a minnow or leech.

Created this fly about four years ago, and it is very seldome that it does not provoke a strike from paperlips and blue gills....

My personal best was a 38lb king salmon. Wow what a ride. Like hooking into the back end of a freight train.

If you are new to fly casting, I would recommend that you start with lightly weighted flies. No clouser minnows until you are proficient with a fly rod.

For the guys that commented on the brown. Those are not chenille. I blended rabbit hair and some dubbing called light bright. When the sun hits it it almost glows.
