Heading to Tenkiller this weekend, any good news? Crappie, white bass? Maybe some cat fishing too, price of beef and pork is killing... :witching

Just talked to Ranger, we will be there if rain doesn't fill everything. Will keep an eye on Illinois river.

Go there one time a year in April, we trolled for 16 inch slabs.....

Thanks for the info, it has been bad the last couple years, was hoping it straightened out a bit. Last year got there a week early water temp was way off but I did catch a lot of nice cats trolling...

Any body have info on Tenkiller, going to give it a try in a couple weeks. :)

I have had alot better luck (for crappie) only doing .6 to .8 MPH, higher than that and you get white bass and others. Good Luck

I do real well in the spring the slabs are amazing, and i hit Cookson and state campground areas.

with all the rain last week, IL river going crazy... does anybody know the level/condition of Tenkller. I am planning a trip there for mid April and was wondering??

I usually stay at Cookson Bend, I like having the marina across the street and they give me a winter rate (I go for a week in April). The marinas are all closed so plan on hauling gas, and alot of...

Was down by Hamilton over Thanksgiving and it was WAY low. I think read somewhere they were going to draw it down.

put in today hit the dam area, all the fish i marked were deep.... real deep. tried a couple down riggers no luck but it was like 2-5 this afternoon ( the wife was with me). gooch the boat traffic...

we troll for crappie all the time, slow your speed to .6-.8 that is the most productive speed we have found

I'm thinking about float and fish from Pencil Bluff to Highway 27. Has anyone done this and is the fishing good. Just thinking it mite be a fun day trip.
