I have the 2008 17 Explorer Triton and can say it is a nice boat. I looked at the stratos 176 and still bought the Triton. The fit and finish I liked better, plus the Stratos uses the "skiff" type...

I like a Mercury myself, but the Mercury 75 hp is a heavy optimax motor. Yamaha makes a 70 hp that is small and light. The Yamaha will make up the 5hp by not being so heavy. And they cost a lot less...
