I have seen it on catfish but never on a crappie. They were river fish so I wouldn't think it was an algea bloom because of the water flowing and cooler temp's.

The rain may be a bummer for chasing crappie but the shrooms love it so I switched gears and did what mother nature told me.

Lots of perch in Giest. We catch most of them on the ice and after ice out. Very few over 7 inches. Tons of 5's...same thing at Morse. Just don't have good genes I guess. It might be the shad. ...
