my fishing partner and me took our both our kids fishing today. my daughter flat wore them out. she caught the 2 biggest ones of the day too.

i tried minnows yesterday and i couldn't keep them alive after i hooked them. i was hooking them just forward of the tail and high of centerline of the minnow.

ok, it sounds like i can put my bobbers away. i don't really need them for depth control.

i just bought a crappie kit from basspro shop. it has tons of little creature to fish with but i'm not sure how to use half of the stuff in the kit.

i just wish i knew more about fishing for crappie so that my daughter could have one of those 25 fish days. i'm taking my daughter tomorrow after she gets out of school.

i'm not sure if the fish are more tight lipped today or if i just couldn't find the color and depth to fish them.

i went to a thrift store the other day and found an old B n M black widow telescoping pole in used but good shape for a mere 3 dollars. it now resides in my boat:D

i've never used that particular brand but i know the rapala shad rap SR05 will catch them.

it's a little 20 acre pond on an airforce base
