If the water temp is right fishing the grass is great but I've also pulled a lot of big slabs off those cypress. I'll let you know how we do.

Haven't fished it this year but will be there on Thursday. I think it will be good. Fish around the cypress trees.

I used to have a Bone Dry suit. It would keep me dry for awhile but water would eventually soak through if I was out in the rain for long periods of time.
Camp dry water repellent will help.

Looks like just about any lure with chart in it will catch a crappie. Hard to just pick two.
1. Blue/cart
2. black/red & white

I grew up fishing Lake Wappapello. In the fall we would catch crappie in coves around shallow stumps and brushpiles. Some so shallow you wouldn't think there be enough water for a fish to be in.
