I used brown and orange scud back.

Weather wasn't good today, so I tied some saltwater and fresh water flies. My freshwater flies were made from foam bodies given to me by Capt. Pete Greenan in Sarasota.

We fish the Gulf of Mexico, Charlotte Harbor and Pine Island Sound for the big ones. For juveniles, I head to The Everglades. I do have a spot in Pine Island Sound that produces for juveniles.

LOL, I have to disagree about the carp looking like bonefish, but whatever. Yes, I was wading.

Carp and smallmouth were on the same flat, but the bass were just a little deeper.

No bass this morning at Lake Manatee -- even though I got to fish about 40 minutes before sunrise. Not even a lost fish. The bluegill bite was off somewhat, too.
