I use them live and we freeze them as well. Catch them both ways but seem to have best luck when the live ones.

Same here on the Redear. We did not catch any huge numbers of them on any given day but always caught a few and always really good size.

Fished Rough yesterday and had similar results. Caught a few keepers but several small ones, and I do mean SMALL ones.

Yes, we put in at North Fork and fished around there and a little up near Axtel.

Fished Rough River today and ended up with 14 Keepers. It was really windy but the water is warming. I saw several boats on the lake. How did everyone else do?

That will work fine. I put mine in a bowl and cover with water and sprinkle a little salt in the bowl. Just rinse them off when you are ready to fry.

We fished Jonathan Creek and the bays just to the north and south of it on the main lake.
