    Default The hill

Should have stayed home. Me and Satoma made the trip to the hill to check out a new creek to fish. When we got there the wind was howling. We put in and started to look for some fish. Started pulling jigs in 30 ft of water and caught some fish but no crappie. Tried one creek to get out of the wind and caught four crappie and one nice hybrid. Rain ran us off the lake around noon. Got my mega 360 working but could not get the live scope to work. All in all a good day

It is the difficult days that make us better fisherman. I have gotten so used to fighting the wind to hold the boat position. Using the wind to lean the boat into to hold it steady. I have a hard time on calm days
Any day on the water is well spent

Wind, rain, and electronics that wont work properly will DEFINITELY work on one's spirit. Pick you a better day weather-wise and hit 'em again soon Don. The fish are there and willing to bite but even they shut down when the wind is howling and you cant present the baits to them like you want to. Glad to see you got out and caught a few. Better luck next time out.

I knew it was going to a lousy day but it was meant to be a scouting trip and not as much fishing day. I plan on fishing a couple days this week and Friday the wife has surgery scheduled so it want be any fishing for a while. Glad I was able to get my mega 360 working. I got the repair for the live scope on the way. Don

Hate you had problems and foul weather but how is that mega 360 looking on the screen? I'm looking to get one someday!

Dawgg I have it mounted at the trolling motor and did not use it that much. We were pulling so I was looking out the back of the boat. I think it will be good fight lining which I plan on doing this week.
