there is a resort there I see on the outdoor chanel that sponsors one of the shows I think Tommy Wilcox - it is called The Warf - I think very expensive but they have a lot of stuff to do during the day or night like amusment park and a boardwalk type deal - lots of marinas and guides there too but I could not tell you the price - my experience with guides they all are pretty much all in the same price range in the same areas
with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -
and if ya'll see Goober later tellem I said duh huh - he'll know what ya mean!!!!!!!!

Don't forget about the surf fishing while you're there. I don't know about any of the charters but the fishing from the beach can be incredible. We usually spend a week in Orange Beach either in Oct. or sometime between early April-early May. Expect to catch whiting, pompano (usually best late april), ladyfish, some sort of jacks, redfish along with several other things. I just fried up some whiting last night and it's great eating. You may not be planning on this type of fishing but thought I'd offer. I get excited just thinking about it.

    Take care,
    Greenfish

hey j , if you take your boat , fish the piers in perdito bay , hit the lights at night, live shrimp with just a small split shot will put you on some reds , white trout, plus the second week of march the sheephead around the jetties will be awesome, i always fish the intercoastal canal ,youll cross it going into gulf shores if you look there is a boat ramp under the bridge, go west past oyster bay, just a few miles youll see a little bridge to your right, take you something and scrape the green stuff on the bridge once that gets flowing youll see the sheephead feeding on it, throw you a piece of shrimp down to them.
also the sea wall on the pass will be a good spot from the bank, if you can get out to the jetties there is always something biting just depends on time of year for different species, just be careful in the pass with strong currents and boat traffic,
and remind the kids just about everything they will be catching has teeth.lol

forgot to add in the hotel lobbies will be cards and flyers with fishing guides , if you go to san roc marina etc they will call the same guides and add about 30 bucks to the price, with so much awesome inshore fishing down that way i never venture out to the deep stuff, plus its easier to keep my supper down if i can see land at all times..
heres a few of the local forums
