Default Weekends offshore Un-fishable now for 5 weeks running

After a great run of weekend trips in late May and the first 2 weeks of June the crew of Team Reelsmoke has been stuck on shore watching and waiting.

Our 236 is just a bit small for the type of waves and wind we been having off the coast of NC. Any of you other saltwater guys been able to make it offshore? Or not let's hear about it.

I don't do much off shore fishing, would like to just don't have the boat for it. Heck I haven't even been inshore fishing in way too long! Something I'm hoping to change this weekend! The wind hasn't been much of an issue for us here in Louisiana but the rain has! Hope you get to go soon!

Well the forecast changed in a matter of 2 days, what was suppose to be a decent weekend turn into 6 weekends stuck onshore. Thanks for the response shadow. I hope we can get a few other fisherman to post on their experiences. If your reading this send us your reports or thoughts. I know there are old salts with a tale or two.

I have a weekend place at Atlantic Beach - hardly been able to surf fish with the heavy SW winds this summer; forget lunar tables and tide tables, when the wind lays down you run out and fish a few hours. My inshore fishing (predominately Pamlico River and it's creeks) has been hampered by the wind and a couple of boat issues (now resolved) - hope to get back in the water late next week. OH

Thanks for joining in, SW wind has to lay down sometime but it won't be this weekend either. Haven't been fishable since June 17th for me. Good Luck
