Default A day out in South Louisiana

I wanted to head out on Sunday and the first two people I asked were busy, so my wife said she would go with me. Had the mother in law watch the little one while we were out. Fished for 3 hours and only caught one redfish. While we fished we ran some crab nets we set out. Ended up with almost 3 dozen small to medium crabs. Headed home and picked up some steaks. Made our own version of surf and turf. Invited mother in law over for dinner. ( brownie points). A good time was had by all. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1400519764.423957.jpg

You guys always boil crabs down there we steam em I got a steam pot I made from a beer keg 27yrs ago. Put old bay or j o spice on em steam a bushel for about 50 mins . Meat comes out firm we pick alot too for freezer to make crab cakes and other stuff with throughout the year. Cant keep females(sooks) in maryland only the males (jimmies).
