Once a year, sometimes twice

I make a trip to the rainforest of northeast coast of Costa Rica. I have a very dear friend who let's me tag along and chase BIG tarpon. To date his biggest 7ft 2inches weighing in somewhere around 200-220. I hooked a #180 a year ago in Sept about 6Ft long( the #180 is the big girl near the bottom of this post), again last May a 160-170. The 180 took about 3 hours to land. Fishing with a #10 fly rod #30 test. It's a real blast.













I use to spend a couple weeks fishing in Canada each year right up until I hook one of these big girls. Canadian fish are to small now.
