Great report and nice photos/fish. I have a place in Perdido Key and did well in march. Did not catch the size you did but had a blast. Thanks for the update.
February was a decent month down in Alabama with the Gulf Shores pompano bite sporadic with the beach renovation project (dredging) in Gulf Shores. Our house is in Fort Morgan a mile east of the park so there were still plenty of fleas to go around.
Personal best big ugly. My little scale for beach panfish went to 35 and this one pegged it.
5' bull shark caught while casting for reds off the beach just after sunset.
My buddy John with a 35lb black drum...there were four fish caught by the house that pushed 40lbs in a three day period.
Cownose rays galore with huge schools close to the beach-a real testament to the health of the water as they are very sensitive to water conditions and pollution. I put several in the freezer for shark bait for the Pensacola trips later this spring.
March is already heating up with the first kings of the year showing up on the pier this week and reports of blackfin tuna just beyond the breakers in more than one spot from Navarre to PCola.

Nice Pics, looks like an awesome day at the beach with the family.
Thanx for the share.
