Those are neat looking fish!!
So back in early June, we went to visit some friends who lived in Yellowstone.... the week before we were to go, I heard about a new species of trout only in 1 pond that was kind of on the way (30 miles out of the way.) So I decided to bring a pole & some gear...
These were my first ever Tiger Trout... They are a brown/brook trout hybird & supposedly sterile. I was surprised @ how big there teeth are. If I could have taken them in & got an official length & weight, I would have had a state record (@ that point the largest one caught was 12 1/4"... My biggest was 13 1/8") , but wife was not in the mood to take any more time out of our day for fishing (she doesnt like fishing or eating fish.)
Was pretty neat getting a chance to catch a new fish. My daughter wasn't really in the mood to fish, but did catch 1 & then was done...
Those are neat looking fish!!
