Finally we got a day without a lot of wind and/or rain. We launched on the Quabbin Reservoir around 7:45 am and pulled off at 2 pm. We mostly jigged for deep water lakers with blade baits and jigs. Between us, we caught & released 7 lake trout and 3 salmon.

Water temp on the main was only 60 degrees at the surface, so we figured we'd find the lakers still running the first break (25'), but we were wrong. Moving out to 70' is where we located the majority of the larger lakers. Here's a couple of pics:

After the breeze picked up a bit, we moved shallower to a protected flat and that is where we picked up some salmon - at 35'. Here's a couple of shots:

All in all a fine morning to be out on the main body.
