nice trout....looks like a nice stream in the background also
Fishing is what I enjoy and opening trout season is what I was looking forward to.... Up here in Quebec, Canada, trout season opens in late April and closes late September.... did get into a few and want to share some of the beauties I was able to hook into.
The lures of choice that I like using is Mepps black furry #2 size dressed, mini Big O crank bait perch pattern and last but not least, walleye slip bobber type rig with dew worm for targeting bottom. Each and every type of lures mentioned above produce one trout. First one was a nice speckle on the slip bobber rig, 11" 1/2
second was a nice rainbow that was caught with the mini BigO, 16" 1/4
and last but not least, 14" speckle, not long but very thick and chubby
Now walleye and pike opened yesterday and that is what I will be targeting next Until next time!
Hope you enjoy!!!

Thanks PBUG!!! The lake I was fishing has underground cold water feed.... this lake is what's called a head lake.... only source of water comes from the mountains overflow. Very hard to get to by vehicle.... long walk by foot.
Truly gem lake for some bigg'uns..... here's another I caught last year.... 21" 1/2 by 12" girth.... monster speck

Good luck on the eye's and Pike..
Beautiful fish man. I am heading up into the mountains at the end of the week to catch some trout. Hopefully I will get some nice pictures to share with you guys. Is a speckled trout a salt water? Looks kind of like a brook trout.
