After a colder then normal early season, the fishing here in Sheboygan gradually continues to improve. I was out all weekend catching mostly coho salmon with a few lake trout and chinook salmon being caught. I fished mainly between the commercial fishing nets set just south of town between 60 and 120 feet of water. I ran plenty of the smaller orange dodgers and flies behind planner boards. We also hooked a trophy 17 lake trout on our Sunday afternoon run. I’m really looking forward to some nicer warmer weather this year so I can put the winter coat away.
