Saturday morning I set up 42* 28` in 130`, when we hit 140` as I was setting up we had 2 quick hits on a Lil` boy blue behind smoke down 62`. There were plenty of marks and I trolled North and South for the morning in the basically the same depth. I heard of guys out deeper getting action but they were throwning back most of the fish due to their small size. The only real draw back was that the group must have thought I had a "Dry" boat or it was prohibition as no one brought a cooler full of beer . We ended up 11 for 20 or so with the Green "Hot Spot" flasher ahead of a green flie on a fireline dipsey with a #3 setting 160` back leading the way. A Sister sludge spoon down 95` took a few hits, wire dipseys with Blue Dolphin and Stinger NBK ("Natural Born Killer") spoons took a few hits back 250`,as well as the clown behind chrome on a`rigger down 65`.

On Sunday I set up at 42* 27` N in 140` and headed Southeast to 215`, we had steady action all day, we would run into pockets where 2,3, or even 4 rods would take hits and usually only managed one fish out of the bunch :-. I stayed in the 215` trolling North to the line and South to 42*26` N .The same 160` dipsey was hot so I threw the same setup (green/green)on the lead a full core out and it too produced well. It took 7 hits on a Blue Dolphin 250` back on a #1 wire dipsey to finally boat a fish on that rod. The blue dolphin 95` down and Green Monkey Puke down 100` were good on the `riggers, along with a clown behind chrome down 65` as well. We went through spurts where most of the hits would come on dipseys, then the `riggers would go, the lead was good all day. We had action on all the rods, some of the fish were small but we managed a few lakers around 20#, a king around 18*, and a 11# steelie in the bunch. We ended up 30 for 50 something counting "Hit and Runs" where no one was home when we got to the rod. I had a Grandfather his 2 sons and 3 grandchildren out and we couldn`t have had a better day, the fish were active, the lake was calm, and the weather was comfortable with no flies .
I have a pic of the rack, and a few of the bigger fish on my site under 2004 pics at the bottom of the page.
Now I have to prepare my boat for a hardtop that should be here in the next week or so

Hopefully next season will start off the way this one ended
