Nice work. Great looking rod
Made the mistake of having a few bucks in my pocket when I went to Mudhole the other day. Like a lot of us, I have enough rods for me and someone else. One of the guys had put a grip/reel seat together for a project. In talking about that particular reel seat, he said I’ve got one over here all set up. And he did. I really like the lock nut on this reel seat and the rod is a bit stiffer than I use in fresh water. The length is 6’6” and the balance is just right. It may be a house blank as it has no labels. I basically returned the money he had out for parts and carried it home. I had guides and everything else minus a tip top so I just had to wind it. Fun to fool with and I’m pleased with it. I may keep it for topwater or Ned rig, plenty of action to set the hook for topwater. Anyway, here’s the pics and thanks for listening……Skeet
