Default I have this Daiwa Legalis

I grabbed this reel at Bass Pro one this past winter getting ready for a trip to Reelfoot Lake. I instantly fell in love with the reel but couldn't quite get it paired with a rod that made me love the combo. The closest I got was one that I had a Daiwa Freams on and I decided that I liked the Reams on it better. I came to the conclusion that it needed its own rod, so, I started ordering stuff. I really like how this one came out. I have made a few rods now and I like to think I am getting better at it, but I also do a lot of ornamental work on them wither, I like things clean and simple. This one is not a high-end blank with uber light guides all the bells and whistles. It is also not a uber high end real and it looks funny if you put GMC rally Wheels on a Ferrari lol. All that said, and I don't want to come across as bragging but when I finished this rod and put the reel on it my mind was blown at how well they went together. The balance is great, and it casts like they were made together. I am just very happy with how this rod came out.

Thank you, guys. I can't wait to slime it the first time.

I also realize I need to ask y'all to overlook my shaggy yard

Glad it was worth the trouble and worked the way you wanted. I really like the handle, basic but high tech looking. Very nice touch.
