my dad did it a couple years ago they lasted several weeks. Now we just put them in the freezer and count them out in batches of 100 to fish with. I put mine in a mayo jar in the cooler. No fuss and the gills don't care.
I am going to get 1K crickets to start raising. My cage will be completed tomorrow, and will only have $7 in it.
We go thru 100+ crickets a day if the fishing is good. 1K will cost about $23 delivered, besides, I have the space, time, and most importantly, I have the OK from the wifeThumbs Up
Anybody else raise, or raised crickets?

Does it not matter if the crickets are dead? I'm not sure I could handle the smell of having a large cricket pen.
I have used and stored crickets since the early 80's. I have stored up to 5-6,000 at 1 time. All a person has to do is scrape the holding cages every couple of days, change out the feed and change the water. It takes about 30 minutes and I am done and I have no smell. I do this approx once a week.
