Thread: Adding glitter to already painted & cured jig heads?

Well if complaining to the seller were not an option……I would buy some very fine glitter, UV resin, and a small paint brush. Indoors stick the jigs into styrofoam or something so that the head can be coated without touching anything afterwards. Squirt out some resin onto a piece of trash plastic and using the brush paint each head. No need to worry about the resin drying, take your time. Then sprinkle the glitter and coat the way you think they should look. Then set them outside where the Sun can get at them. Best if the Sun can get to each side. This will cure the resin and done.

Clear nail polish with the glitter mixed in. Paint with a small brush and allow to dry. May even be possible to find the nail polish with the glitter already in it

If your going to be painting quite a few, you could use a small plastic cup tyoe container similar to what comes with cough syrup, not a big one to mix your resin and tiny glitter in before painting the jigs the jigs. you can get a good sized container at most hobby/craft stores in the jewelry making dept.. If you don't have a UV light you can do as Micanopy said and set in the sun to cure. As it's name says, It's a UV cure resin, heat nor anything else will cure it. If when dry, it's a bit tacky, as some of the cheaper types will be, just coat it with some clear nail polish. I have been know to use Sally Hansons Hard as Nails, then hang to dry. Make sure you Do Not get that UV resin in the eyelet hole on the jig then cure it. It will be next to impossible to clear that hole out. Clear the hole before you cure it. Hope this helps.
