I'm assuming your going to flatten the round heads with a vice or pair of smooth face pliers. For that size jig heads I would get 6mm eyes.

Just another option, I order oil based paint pens, $10.00 for a set and paint my eyes on round jig heads. Black with white pupil, black with red pupil, red with black pupil, black with metallic pupil. Eyes the limit! Name: 51q-Zycmx5L._AC_SY1000_.jpg

You can either use a dap of gel super glue or Sally Hanson. I used super glue for years and found Sally Hanson works just as well. I do not top coat unless I plan on dock shooting or casting around rocks.

I suggest a smaller size eye. 6mm is pretty big for a flattened round head.

6mm equals 1/4” roughly. Squeeze out the head and then measure what you have. My guess will be 4 mm, but that is merely a guess.
Maybe they will bite this one……

As I think about it your right. A 6mm is gonna be large on a 1/8 head and just about right for a 1/4. I would recommend at 5mm or 4mm for the size heads the OP is going to use. It's better to go smaller than larger when it comes to eyes.
