A alcohol burner is what I use as well. Have tried many other types of heat but the burner is what works best for me. Have heated many many many jigs using one.

Toaster oven for me.
Alcohol burner works fine, just slow and once the wick gets used up,,,good luck finding new wicks because sizing it’s a pain,,,,cooking starter torch works good too,,, refills are butane gas

I started with an alcohol burner and still have original wick. I’ve had no problems finding wicks on amazon they all appear same for my burner. I mainly went that route because of noise and it being quiet. Now my girls are a little older I’m using a heat gun. It’s pretty easy to use and does a good job.
I only fish on days of the week that end with
a "Y" ...and then, only if it's raining or not.
