Smile I'm done with fluid beds

I have decided I'm not smart enough to use fluid beds. I have tried the things you guys suggested but no love. I can get a nice even coat of all the colors on my hands, clothes and my shop but not on the jig heads. I started this jig thing for fun and being able to make the own. The frustration factor is WAY to high. My hats off to you guys and yes I'm a little jealous

They can be frustrating. I plugged on up the other day and coated some jigheads pink because I couldn't find any in that color locally. I powred it with a minnow bubbler I had on hand. Worked pretty well.

I use a vibrating dentist table. No mess, and easy to do. One jig at a time.

I bought one off of Amazon for about $55. At it's highest setting, it would not agitate the powder in my cups properly, so sent it back. It was 4 inch top plate, rated at 100 wats listed for plaster mixing in lab. The concept is good, as both stone polishing and cleaning brass shell cases for reloading use the process. Just did not work for me.

I find that a lot of these powder coating people are selling very wet powder at times,,, a good dry powder will almost act like water as soon as air hits it,,,,others will act really stupid and blowup like volcanos,,,makes a mess too,,,especially this crinkle coat crapp,,,TJ’s sells some good stuff,,,,love the candy colors and their disco silver base,,,I only buy Tj’s powder now

Takeum, is there a way to dry wet powder. I am also struggling with the fluid bed.

I too decided the hassle spoiled the fun, so my fluid bed sits in a box in the corner for punishment. I find that dipping and swirling works plenty fine. I stir the powder with a stick every so often.
Maybe they will bite this one……
