Storage bags are just a no brainer for me. Take up less space which I don’t have much of anyways with the 20 something fluid cups of paint.
You folks got me to thinking about storage. I went to a walk in closet in the spare bedroom that is rarely open. I knew there was powder coat of various ages and there I found a box with this awful bright blue from yesteryear. Prolly the 80s. So I checked it and a few other paints in there and they are just fine with no extra care at all. They have just been kept dry. Even up north here it can get pretty humid but they don't seem any worse off than new. Sometimes I just over think things and should just focus on the fun parts. The rest will work it's self out

That blue paint I found in the closet was in a glass jar, remember glass, LOL The point is it is in great shape as compared to a a couple of colors in ziplock bags. I'm purrty sure as long as they are not exposed to excessive moisture they are all fine. I would bet there are warehouses with with tons of paint that are in bags inside of boxes for months if not years. I will say some paint that I dig out take quite a while to fluff up in the fluidizer to paint with. But I think that has as much to do with temperature as anything.
That’s what I’m thinking if kept away from heat and moisture they should be just fine. The powder paints I ordered all arrived today. Bagged in plastic and then put inside another bag. I put the bags in a marine tote that should help protect them. Only thing is they are in my garage which gets hot and cold. So far paints in containers have been fine, let’s hope these will be as well.
I have some left in bags and some that have been in my fluid bed cups for years. All I have found is it doesn’t float as well in my fluid bed after it absorbs moisture, but it isn’t a big deal.

Received all my new powder paints and quickly tested them out. I know the paint job is bad but it was just for color. Some were colors I wished for others missed the mark. Hard to match feathers with online photos. I will add them to my color swatch ring and they will all be used eventually. Now, I gotta stop buying paints….haha yeah right.

Was thinking about this alittle,,,why not make your pvc cups and store them in those. I use pvc test caps for an airtight cap,,,or use the pvc pipe, leave it long for extra storage space and cap it on both end,,,then when you wa t more fluid beds, you already have materials on hand if needed,,,

Dave you can get these cups by the case (36) for right at $15 case. You may find a couple of guys to go in and split the cost. They have many sizes to choose from.
