Those look good. I need to find time to paint more.
I can't stop painting with it, I might be addicted. Haven't been tying, too busy painting. I painted over 100 just this morning. Here are some from earlier today.

New dilemma is should I add eyes to these or leave them be. Most are 1/16 Diner shiner heads that take a 3mm eye. Starting to write down my favorite color combinations and give them a star rating. I have two 5 star colors so far. Huge difference baking them with the heads up instead of down. Baking them longer and at higher temps now, no cone heads. See how the excess paint ran down shank of jig in second picture.
Those are cool!
Yes on eyes, I never was much on eyes.
Until I started seeing Nips creations, now I’m. Convinced.

I'm probably going to get laughed at for this stupid question, but how are you hanging them to bake, heads up? I have the same problems as a few on here, dripping from the head/conehead while baking. Of course, I am hanging them by the hooks.
FYI, those look really good!
There is a video on you tube on how to make racks so jigs can be placed heads up in the toaster ovens. It's where I learned that heads up are better, only took 63 years. SDG Custom lure craft was where I saw the video with the racks. I bake my jigs in a regular oven. I hang my jigs on a card board box sticking the points in with the heads down like I've always done before except now I turn the box over and heads are facing up now. I want to put eyes on them but think it might take away from how the paint jobs look. Maybe just use smaller eyes.
As far as your dilemma on being addicted, sell some and you can paint some more. I’ll bet some folks on here would be interested.
As far as the eyes, I’d have to do a run through and see how it shook out. With the no two alike nature of those, only some might be right with eyes on them.
Whichever way it turns out, that’s great work Jim. Some really neat colors. And I’ll say thanks for everyone here for going through the learning curve and bringing the rest of us along for the ride. I’ll retire one day and be able to do stuff like this. As it is, I’m glad when I get a few hours to fish or pour some heads I need.

Yes on the eyes and any other way you can make them fancier. I hear all the time the fish don’t care how pretty the jig is, if it’s painted, has eyes, just made to catch the fisherman, etc. To me it was never about any of this. Its like a car. You can roll in a Honda or roll in a Maserati. Both will get you from point A to point B. Me I like the Maserati and how I’m going to roll. It’s an art.
Yes it is an art and Nip you are a Master at it.
