I called you while you were baking and the results as you said are spectacular! we shall see soon how the fish like them! WTG Jim these are almost too pretty to use for fishing!
It could be the colors you are using as your basecoat. Some colors show through better. Try starting with white as a base coat before dipping in the color you want and then the crinkle paint. I'm heating my head with a bic lighter then dipping in white then dip in a color like chartreuse and then the silver crinkle. I'm only heating my head one time dipping it in two colors and brush tapping on one or two more colors on some before the final dip into the crinkle.

I heat my jig with a 6 count for a 1/16, dip in white base then into wanted color. If I see smoke I wait several seconds before dipping it into the crinkle. DONE!! Paint colors come out when put in the oven. Color starts coming through after a few minutes, ready to take out after 10-15 minutes. Just ordered more silver, 4 oz. I am using a regular oven, no toaster oven. Unsure how accurate temps are but 325 is a good place to start for me, believe temps are hotter than what the digital display shows.

Nice looking paint jobs. To avoid problems with cone heads hang your jigs in oven with the head up, excess paint will run down the hook shank.
