Yep you might have to clean up the shank of the hook at times but it will work just fine.
I'm looking for a no collar minnow head mold but the closest that I've found has a wire keeper like this one:
DoIt JMWB-7-A Minnow Head with Keeper Mold
Can I use this mold without the wire keeper to get results like this?

Looks like a Matzuo hook - getting harder to find
You can fill the wire keeper cavity with hi-temp silicon (temp) or JB weld (kind of permanent).

Have a bunch of them! and tested every single one to see if they'd snap!!
