Default Looking for a good source of jig heads

I’m looking for a source of something fairly specific, I like to fish with a 1/32 or 1/64 ounce jig with a #1 or #2 black chrome Matzuo sickle hook with a collar and barb. Wasn’t sure where to post this, hope this is an ok area to ask. Thanks guys.

Unfortunately CrappieDreamer didn’t have what I’m looking for, but I think he has everything else. He seems like a great guy and I’m sure I will do business with him in the future.

Just an FYI, Matzuo filed for chapter 11 bankrupcy back in November. As a result, many of the hook suppliers are either running low on existing stock or they are gone. Many jig makers might still have some stock left but it is becoming harder and harder to find these hooks.

Might I recommend the Eagle Claw "lil nasty" hook. I used them when I sold jigs on all of our 1/32oz up to our 1/8oz models. They had a better fit and were much more consistant than the Matzuo with zero need to alter our smaller molds. Once we jumped over 1/8oz, we used Matzuo and had to alter out molds slightly to allow for the longer neck compared to a standard jig hook. Only reason we used those is because they were most common and most customers asked for them specifically as they did not know about the Eagle claw sickle hooks.

There is another company out there producing sickle hooks but he doesn't appear to sell them to many stores. I've looked at his stock and they appear to be a great hook. I forwarded the information on to a buddy of mine who now owns my old jig business. PM me if you would like and I can give you more information as I don't want to post it due to the fact that he is not a site sponsor.

I can make them but am so far behind I have no idea when I could get to them...the original sickle maybe a little tricky to come by too...but as far as the heads and the hooks size, I have made that combo several times for different guys...

Check with Curtis Hobbs @ Litewire Hooks
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6

Bugman has always had what I wasn't able to pour myself. Good work, no trimming and a quick turnaround.

I was told by a source in the industry last fall Mustad was coming out with a sickle hook and I just found them. Going to order some soon. They are supposed to address 2 issues with Matzuo, the length from bend to eye and size of Barb. Supposedly these are better. I changed to little nasty eagle claw when they came out.
