Default Blaze Orange vs Flame Red

Why am I seeing such a subtle difference between Blaze Orange and Flame Red?

In powder form, they are also very similar.

These were baked at the same time, so time and temperature were identical.

Doesn't look like a faint difference to me. One is orange, one is red.....

The red is sort of a "dull" red though. Not the shine, the color.

I see two different colors. With so many different color mixes you just hit on two colors that are being closer to the same tones. One is orange and one is red. The fish knows the difference in the two.

Yep about the same. To keep them separate, I put black eye on one and white on the other.

I noticed the same thing with the first batch I painted flame red. Thought there had to be a mistake. But when outside in natural light I can see the difference.

Netcraft flame red and orange. Pro-Tex is little different. I try to use netcraft all the time.

In the picture at the top it is the following two colors:
    Blaze orange on the left
    Flo red on the right
    NOT flame red

There is a slight difference in hue between blaze orange and flo red.

Lightwire's photo depicts flame red on the left and blaze orange on the right.

Huge difference between flame red and flo red. Small diffence between flo red and blaze orange.

I carried all those colors and stopped advertising flo red because of how similar it wss to blaze.

My Flame Red was ordered from Zeiner’s. I asked them to double check their stock. It was in their own container and not Pro-Tex’s (assuming they repackage bulk like TJ’s does)

Ya, if you wanted flame red, you got the wrong stuff.

Either they screwed up and saw flo red or their inventory is wrong.

I did use flo red as a dusting color on firetiger but, unless it is side by side with blaze, most don't see a difference.

Get up with Zeiner's and let them know the issue. They are great to work with
