    Default Melting Jig Heads

I have a lot of old jig heads from past years that I don't use for one reason or another. I would like to melt them down and use the lead. Some are painted
    Any suggestion would be appreciated

you can use needle nose plyers to hold the hook and dip the head into your melting pot. Then clean off the top of the lead to remove debris. I would also flash the lead after cleaning with wax.
Or use a small pot or tin can to place the heads into and heat with a hand held torch. Clean the top off and flash like above.

I just save mine up and when I'm cleaning scrap lead I thrown them in hooks and all. The hooks will float on top Just flux to clean up the paint and hooks.
