Have you weighed each variation? Alloys are typically lighter than pure lead. Bigger doesn't necessarily mean heavier?
I been buying my pro jig heads without collar from crazy angler in 1/32oz to tie jigs with, I decided I would start pouring my own. Receive melting pot and Do-it mold. Pour heads and started to compare heads. The ones from Crazy Angler look bigger and the ones I'm pouring look like a 1/48 from Crazy Angler. Any ideas.

No I haven't weighted the heads yet but that maybe it crappie dreamer . I just want everyone to know I'm not knocking Crazy Angler. Just trying to figure it out.
What's the mold number?
Sounds right - do-it is closer to 1/48th (depending on lead and hook). Have several molds Robert cut for me and they are all the correct weight - pretty sure CA are using their own molds. Think Hilt's molds are closer to their stated weight.
Robert's 1/32 is probably right on. Do it molds are almost always off, my 1/32 is light as well as probably everyone's. Hilts has a 1/32 trout jig mold that actually weighs 1/24. If you want a true 1/32 keep buying from Robert or have one custom made if you don't mind paying extra for it.
If it is a spincast mold it is probably wearing from use. As they wear from taking the heads out it will continue to get bigger, thus the weight will increase. If you use a aluminum mold enough it will do the same thing, it just takes longer usually. But I have said for years that stamping weights on do it molds is useless. They are hardly ever what they say they are. It does not take a genius to know a head with a barbed collar weighs more than a collarless head. Yet in most do it molds the diameter of the heads in both molds are the same size. Common sense will tell you that's not right...lol. But in the other side of things, all lead is not created equal. They vary different in weight according to what it is made from. Pure lead will weigh different than say melted wheel weight lead will. Also all hooks do not weigh the same. Someone that has not poured a lot would never notice it, but after several million you tend to notice the little things...lol. For instance, the little nasty wire diameter is smaller than what is used for sickle hooks. They are the same size or very close in looks but the wire size is different. Again, a weight difference. You can go on and on when it comes to jig weight. There are to many variables to try and control to ever be exact and consistently exact. So just pour/buy what you like, add some makeup and a new dress and go fishin'...lol..
