Thank you. Hope you don't mind me posting occasionally in your thread. I so no reason to have two Herring jighead threads.

Can you use same hardware as a pony mold?

Yes. I use a swivel with split rings instead of a barrel swivel and split ring.

When you powder paint them how do you keep the paint from getting on barrel swivel

You attach swivel after painting by closing wire.

Oh. Well to answer pony head question simply dip the barrel swivel quickly into water and then paint. Don't dip too long or far or as the head will cool and paint won't stick.

As as far as hook eye I simply hold hook eye with plyers when dipping into paint. Be careful not to heat plyers with jig head or else paint will stick to plyers too.

Get the jighead hot propane torch, ect "tap" powder paint on with a small brush. "Takes a little practice" do not heat swivel. We like the brushes from barlow's.lurepartsonline made just for this application"they have wide and narrow tip brushes you need both"..After tapping paint on jighead reheat jig head enough to seal powder paint dip in a jar of water its hot enough when you here it sizzle in the water.
