It looks like the heat was to high and burned the paint.
Sorry for the distorted pic but best I could do. Green chartreuse powder coat with UV Blaze overcoat then put red first coat and then white pupil on eye, baked at 360 for 25 minutes and got a shock at these eyes. I like them but not sure where the red went in the chemical and heat process. Never seen anything like this.

Some young women today try all sorts of things and spend big bucks to get eyes that look like that and here all they had to do was bake their heads. Patent that process!

X2 looks like to hot - did you use powder paint for the eyes??
Eyes are oil based paint and I did crank up the heat a bit but the temps gun said I was around 300. Oh and I like the baked head note. Too funny.
On the eye paint I do mine at 150 in the oven just to set it. Most is not designed for that kind of heat.

Thanks for the heads up, Cray. Do you do the 150 eye bake after the jigs are cured at higher temp?
Yes, I bake them at 350 20-30 minutes. Paint first color of eye and let cure overnight then second color give it couple of hours to overnight. Then bake at the 150. I'm usually not in any hurry so I don't push the dry time. I use the Testers model paint and 2 different size drill bits.
