Bought a toaster oven at Wal-Mart 10 years ago just for doing jigs. Still going strong. I highly recommend you get a accurate thermometer and check it for temperature accuracy.

I have one that I use in my business for all of my jigs. I'm heating several hundred at a time for painting and then curing. Temperature gauge is a must. You need to be able to fine tune the heat and find the sweet spot. Every one of them are different, operate different, heat different, and lose heat different.

I use a toaster oven with digital temperature settings. It has done a great job.

We do not use an oven to bake.We use a heat gun heat jighead, spoon, ect. We do a count 10 -15 count(need jig head hot(smaller jig head less than a bigger jighead. but not to hot to melt lead, tin ect. dip in powder paint,Brush ect. We then dip the hot jighead, spoon ect into a cup of water.Want to hear a sizzle when dipped. Ready to use.We like to let them set for at least 8 hr's to cure. Then clean out jig eye's.Have never had one chip or break.need a drill or real hot jig hook to clean out eye's.Hope this help's

Why do you have to bake after powder coating. I have been doing for years with a small torch and dropping in water after coating. Didn't know they had to be baked. How long at what temperature?? Thanks.

Just read the instructions on the powder coat container for first time. Should have been baking them years ago. Probably won't start now. I loose them before the paint wears off usually anyway. Another learning lesson.

Here is a chart from another form that gives time and temp for every color Pro-Tec makes. Real good reference. I copied and printed a copy.
