I looked at those on doits site and did not like how far down they hang. Make my own wires with .020 and have modified several molds. Just pinned and wired a 1/4 oz. The 1/8th I fish has caught a lot of crappie. Pics later on the 1/4. The pinned eyes came out nice. Also did the minnow head and really like it!
Got the idea from you post.Thanks Ifish. Tried the shorter arm in a small lake close to the house and the thick Chenille/crystal braid(we like and use) hit the blade on retrieve.Went back to the longer wire (also make and bend my own).Tried several different length's and thickness.The ones in the pic the blade turned easy and every time.On Our home lake the Roadrunner is king during the crappie spawn. Espically the 1/16 oz.The ones we get are cheaper made and the blade does not spin(not knocking roadrunner/blakemore) good friend's. Trying to make or own crappie spin's.Really like the sickle hooks also.Thanks Ifish for the post really enjoyed your idea's
