ARB. These jigs are Blaze Orange and Super Glow Orange from Pro Tec. They have a white base coat followed by the orange and then they are dipped in UV Blast for the final coat. The eyes are vinyl paint applied with the ends of drill bits. These jigs were painted six months ago and I do not see any yellowing. It might be the final UV Blast power paint dip had some affect but not sure about this. The darker ones are Blaze orange and the lighter ones are Super Glow orange.

got a message back from my buddy and here's what he said "I know I have put eyes on powder in the past with testers enamel and it worked good, and I have put vinyl eyes on vinyl heads when I wanted a more transluscent looking eyeball. I always over coat the head after putting eyes on there with the clear gloss vinyl, but it will soften a baked powder head somewhat this is the reason I don't use powder any more and also it seems to ave a dull finish on it after fishing for a while, but a clear coated vinyl head will shine like nobodys business, they are a pain to do but to me they are worth it.

So it could very well be the vinyl re-acted with the powder painted head and softened it up. Maybe switch over to the testors with a clear epoxy coat.

Really like those roller swivels but wish there was a way to buy them in bulk for a decent price.

The solvent base for that vinyl paint is leaching color out of the powder coat and yes even when fully cured this will happen. On chartreuse the white will yellow too. I finally gave up and just put the eyes on and colors be damned, they can do what they want. I can say that because I don't add eyes to any of my jigs except a Do-It Flathead jig that I tie in bucktail or some 1/64 flu flu ties I do for sunfish.

Here is what I do with 3D eyes. I hope it helps. I do the powder paint, baking and everything just like you would normally do. Then I take Loc-Tite super glue "Gel Control". It is a grey bottle with blue finned sides. I use this to attach the 3D eyes to the jig head. I allow the super glue to dry completely. Then I use a Clear Vinyl paint by CS Coatings called "Clear Vinyl". I dip the complete jig head up to the hook in the bottle of clear paint. I then dab off the extra "paint" and set the jig head on a rack facing down and let them dry for 12 to 16 hours. After the clear vinyl is dry you can just about bounce the jig head off of a rock and the eyes will stay intact. You have basically just put a clear coat on the jig head like the clear coat on a car's paint job.

I realize that this is a long and time consuming process but the jigs look fantastic after this is done to them.

Heated too long or too high a temp. Fl colors can be temperamental..... With the suffix temper stressed. 😁
