    Nuff said! Good advice from all. I've had some minor things like making jigs outside and rain moved in a little quicker than I thought. I usually add several lead corn pones in my pot and start off on low-medium heat. As it starts melting I add a little more. You're right, you can get away with it if the leads not too hot.

    Did have some pour out and splash up on my finger a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know I could move that fast anymore but I gave it a quick sling and didn't even get a minor burn.

    Learned a lot from Fatman over the years and it has been very much appreciated. Scary to think that someone might want to try melting lead and not know how it needs to be handled. Thanks everyone for the feedback.
