I use the wire that comes with the do-it molds. Same size as the hole. I wrapped the wire around the end of neddle nose pliars and push in the opening at the bottom.......always careful!!

Clean metal, Clean Pot and a stubby screwdriver go a long way to reducing the drips. But, the PP IV does not have the name "lil drippy" just because its cute.

x3 but better yet get a pot that does not drip! like the lee magnum smelter. you can pour salt water etc... etc.. all you got to do is get larger ladles i got a 1.5 ounce for pouring small jigs and a 1.25 pound for pouring triangle weights for the wall in port Huron Michigan, it takes three scoops but it can be done real easy... cant do this with the production pots all they can pour up to is a couple ounces. were the triangle weight are 1-5 pounds so if you salt water or salmon fish you may need bigger like down rigger balls for trolling. any ways since you juts bought it maybe up grade later on. but ya that all they seem to do is drip and leak they have to be perfect alignment of the handle. i have a old herters production pot that you have to shift the handle side to side not up and down to stop it from dripping. but as soon as you lift it you got to realign it. any ways just a tip bast of luck....
