    Default Painting pony heads?

To the guys that use tin foil on the swivel. Do you just cut strips or small squares and wrap the swivel? I bought a new mold a couple weeks ago and have it ready for weed guards so I may try to pour a few this weekend.

    Thanks

Hey Justin, I learned this trick from car painters. Take a small strip and wrap the swivel next to the head then take a bigger strip and wrap the rest. Wraps a lot more even. Of course I like the water trick. Heat the jig head then dip what you do not want to paint in water and then dip in powder. Much easier and faster.

Thanks guys, I'll do some expermenting. Ifish, does the water just cool the swivel to keep the paint from sticking? Do you ever get water in your paint container?

I use hemostats to grip my jigs when painting and after the water dip I tap it on something before it goes in the fluidbed. I use ice water and yes it cools it down so the powder does not stick. Been doing it like that for a long time and never ruined any powder.

I prefer the cold water method. I have never ruined any paint. This is alot faster
