I was going to use the little compressor for the fluid beds because I already have it. Figured a small pipe in theline coming from the big compressor would act as a buffer and again be able to lower pressure going to air brush.

I dunno'. There's a big difference between the pressure your compressor puts out (30 psi) and what an aquarium air pump puts out! Just don't put your face anywhere near the fluid bed when you turn that puppy on!

Sorry I forgot to add that I would need to install a regulator to drop the pressure to that needed for a fluid bed.

I believe it would work for the fluid bed with the pressure regulator, but just seems like major over kill to me....just my

Well you are right it is a LOT more that I need. I suppose I could get a pump for a fish tank and use the compressor I have to run my minnow tank. My brother have me a oblong horse tank. I knew it had a leak when I brought it home. The leak is in a plave that can be fixed without a lot of trouble.

I installed a air line and a pressure regulator with multiple outlets on my work bench. I have a much larger compressor (135 psi) that I fluid bed powder paint and spray air guns with. I also use it run die grinder's to clean up flashing, drill with, pump tires, and most anything else I need air for. With a compressor and a good regulator at your work area, it easy to complete any air task you have. Not overkill, use what you got.

I like the way you think. I also have a 60 gal compressor with a 6.5 hp motor that will crank out all the air I need. We are planning a move this summer so I most likely wait until then to kick things in gear about getting set up to do any serious painting. Was just thinking about what I said about using the little compressor on a minnow tank. Seems like it would be good to put it on a timer so it would cycle like a larger one and still stir some O2 into the water. What do you think FishAction? Just an added thought.

Just my , I think it would work great on a plug in timer to run an air stone with. I would probably want to back the pressure way down but it would defiantly be something worth playing with on a minnow tank.

Think I will have to get a couple of Air Stones this week and play with it and see what happens before I start cutting the pressure. This should give me a idea of how many stones it would support. On the tank I have I am thinking of using a minum of four stones quartered around the tank. BoBo does this sound about right to you?
