It's got to be the finest. It's 99.6 pure lead.

I have been using x-ray lead for years for making jigs. I used to work in a hospital and the folks in x-ray would save the lead for me. Friends that I fish with still make jokes about my jigs glowing in the dark.

I have some lead that was used to shield some kind of radioactive material that is used in medicine that I am wondering if it is safe or not. I need to look on the containers again where I can post exactly what it is.

Excellent for jig making. Be careful if you try to saw parts of it off to melt. This is when it is most dangerous because of all the small particles floating around. Use a face mask to reduce risk. That much lead should last you a long, long time.
