That's pretty neat to make your own mold like that. Nice looking tie.

Thanks Cray. It's interesting to make a mold and have it work right the first time pouring. So many things to try in a short life time.

That's a great idea, and one that never crossed my mind. I've seen some cool things done with bondo but that is a first. Good looking finished jig too. Looks like fox tail. I can barely find time to get on here much less find time to experiment. Got to change that.

Robdog - if it's a Lee pot check with Lee and check out their 1/2 price replacement program. Mine were 24 and 27 years old and for the cost of one pot they replaced both of them with brand new units. You send them 1/2 the cost of a new one in the catalouge at LEE. Call them first!!! and tell them what's going on.
    (262) 673-3075. They'll ask you a few questions then tell you where to send it (but I listed it below) and ask them how much it should be. They'll ask for a credit or debit card but I called mine in after they got my pots. Put Tracking and Insurance on the box with the melter your sending back!!!!!!!

Lee reloading products are unconditionally guaranteed not to wear out or break from normal use for two full years or they will be repaired or replaced at no charge if returned to the factory.

Our lifetime conditional guarantee states that any Lee product of current manufacture, regardless of age or condition, will be reconditioned to new including a new guarantee, if returned to the factory with payment equal to half the current retail price.

Another option is to send the product of any age back to the factory for repair. Labor is free and you are charged only for any parts that are necessary to get your product functioning properly.

very interesting indeed, just curious how the bondo is holding up after that many pours? Great inexpensive idea and the finish project was excelent looking.
